How It All Started
Hi! My name is Nora Tsai. I live in Iowa, and I am the founder and maker of Nora Tsai Jewelry. I started making jewelry when I was 8 years old. 🌸
It all started on a trip to Ponce Inlet, Florida near Daytona Beach. I found the most beautiful sea shell on the shore and I just had to keep it. I loved it so much that I wanted to turn it into something I could give to someone I love.
I knew I wanted to make jewelry out of it as a gift for my family, so my dad and I watched YouTube tutorials together and figured out how to do it. My very first piece was a seashell necklace — and I gave it away as a gift. We still make that same necklace today!
A neighbor of ours sold things on Etsy, and that got me thinking — maybe I could do that too! So I opened my own shop. When my first real order came in from someone I didn’t even know, I was ecstatic. It meant someone liked my designs enough to actually buy one. That feeling was everything. ✨

Dog Lover
Nora has a sheepadoodle and loves dogs almost as much as she loves making jewelry.
Gymnast
When she's not in her workshop, you'll find Nora flipping and tumbling at gymnastics.
Figure Skater
Nora also loves gliding on the ice — grace and sparkle on and off the rink.
